Evil dogcatchers and nearsighted crabs; what more could you ask for in a "Fairy Tale Nobody Ever Heard Of?" We loved entertaining the kids who came to our 2 Arlington Public Library shows August 9.

It may be 95 degrees, but it's not too soon to start planning holiday parties, especially if you are looking at the first 2 weekends in December. Venues and vendors get booked especially early for those dates. October, BTW, is also a very busy event month in DC, as people want to schedule their 'non-holiday' events as far away from Thanksgiving, as possible.

An old "Folktale That Was Never Written" (see above), was the highlight of an improv workshop August 29. Amy and Carol loved the energy and talent of the participants.

Hire professionals. Yes, there are some very talented amateurs out there, but they don't depend on performing for a living. Professionals have to protect their reputations and so they have a much bigger incentive for showing up, being on time and giving you the show you expect.
